We, the people of Paanyuaa, went through hardship, exploitation, invasion, land grabbing, killing, and genocide. Consequently, many people became refugees, internally displaced, and became stateless around the world. Besides, Paanyuaa (Anyuak Country) was/is neglected and forced to remain underdeveloped compared to other Ethiopian and South Sudan regional states. For instance, the few schools, health, and social services were/are intentionally poorly organized and kept people vulnerable and marginalized.

The Ethiopian Federal government, under visualization and land-grabbing policies, is committing silent genocide by forcefully relocating indigenous people in dry and infertile areas where there are no livelihood, social services, and roads.

The people of Paanyuaa now reach a climate where they cannot afford to remain silent on this new plan for another genocide. We refused to remain under brutal and racist Ethiopian regimes and the Sudan People Liberation Movement (SPLM/A).  Therefore, the United Paanyuaa Movement /UPM is formed to fight for the reunification of Anyuak land, which includes Pochalla, Akobo, and Gambela, which has not been part of Ethiopia and South Sudan. We demand our Democratic right to determine the status of land through a peaceful referendum.

Hereby, the United Paanyuaa Movement (UPM) is committed to fight and liberate the people of Paanyuaa from a yoke of marginalization, numerous threats of genocide, and inhuman treatment under the current and past brutal Ethiopian government.   The main objective of UPM is to reunify Paanyuaa (Anyuak country). Second, to take full control of its borders and re-establish the Republic of Paanyuaa.  Third, to restore the dignity of its people toward modernization and security.  We reject the submission of Gambella to Ethiopian authority without consulting its leaders from 1930 to 1956. Eleven years after the formation of the United Nations. If our demand for democratic rights is overlooked, we have every right to mobilize the people of Paanyuaa to fight for their survival and form a Free State where they will enjoy the fruits of democracy and the rule of law.

To achieve this noble objective, UPM has the following: political, economic, social,  and foreign policy programs.
